First Strike System (FS2) Combatives
Description: The First Strike System (FS2) enables the Operator to aggressively engage an adversary, spontaneously respond with empty hand tactics, and maintain positive control of his primary weapon. The combined effect enables Operators to reach their Points of Domination more decisively.
The First Strike System is an evolution of comprehensive kinetic and related nonkinetic activities. There is a hands-on approach as well as an integrated weapons approach, alongside other members of the team. This approach provides a distinct advantage over other Combatives programs. We believe real fight experience is the number one factor in warrior competence. Our training methodology creates and captures this experience while being supervised by combat veteran instructors.
The culmination of this Combatives evolution is realistic full-contact scenario based training that teaches the Operator ‘HOW to think and do’ vs. ‘WHAT to think and do’. It includes simulations and live fire drills that inoculate him to the high stress uncertainties of combat.
“He is not fit for battle who has never seen his own blood flow, who had not heard his teeth crunch under the blow of an opponent, or felt the full weight of his adversary upon him.” -The Sons of Henry II (1133-1189)
The methodology is evolutionary in nature starting with “Principle Based Training” to develop a Predator Response, high stress “Red Line” confrontation management techniques, systems to control the combative ranges from verbal control to ground fight and control, and finally stress inoculation by executing all of the above during realistic scenarios, with role players and marking charges, and during Live Fire drills on targets at the Range and in the Shoothouse. The techniques are founded upon lessons learned during numerous combat operations, street fights, professional boxing, kickboxing, and MMA events, and are grounded in realistic training, simulation, and competition. The emphasis is on soldier/officer skills in today’s multi-faceted and complex high-threat environments, and with real opponent feedback and consequences. The drills are based on a real street-fight philosophy and psychology, and from a solid foundation in stand-up skills and MMA techniques. The FS2 Combatives Courses include Live-Fire training for extreme close-range and contact shooting situations, point of domination and crowd penetration drills, weapons retention, and other, “Murphy-Moments.”
The course entails several group/team proprietary exercises that simulate real combatives situations such as A.C.T.S. – Absolute Combative Training Scenarios, The Black-Eye Saloon, and The Pain Clinic. Each course can be customized and tailored to level of fitness, level of experience, and available equipment for the group being trained.
